Hello Friends!
Happy Friday to everyone - at least I hope it has been.
I went to the dollar store this morning...dangerous place! I was looking for
one thing and walked out with twenty things - none of which were the one thing I originally wanted.
Because that's what happens at the dollar store. Let me tell you - if you need
decorations for the 4th of July, you should go there! I found some great paper
lanterns and cool paper rosette...thingys. I'll share pictures on Monday since
I didn't manage to get any today.
That's because I was working on a design for these takeout
boxes. I love them - so cute and customizable and perfect for favors at
parties, showers, or weddings. I made a pattern from one I had and then
converted it to a cut file for the Silhouette.
I found this cardstock a few weeks ago at Target; of course it was the colors that caught my eye. It worked out great
for these boxes, even though it's only 65 lb. weight.
This box is a cinch make. Just fold at the perforations
(which are already in the cut file) and then glue the one tab at the side of
the box. Fold the bottom tabs closed and then insert ribbon or twine or
rickrack in the holes on the box sides. After filling the box, fold the top
tabs to enclose the contents and give away to someone you love!
Have a wonder-filled weekend!
Stay tuned.
