Hello Friends!
It's weekend roundup today, catching up on a few things I
want to share with you.
First of all, I wanted to post a few more pictures of a finished daisy. I found this one little soldier that made it through the crash, although a little worse for wear... The detail of the back shows the round disc that the petals are glued to and how the hot glue is used (liberally!) to attach the skewer to the flower for the stem which has been wrapped with floral tape to finish the look.
Now, second...have you all been to the One Spot at Target?
If not, get thee to the One Spot immediately! It's an area in the store,
usually right by the front door, that has lots of little goodies that cost from
one to three dollars. There's been some great stuff lately: awesome craft
storage, cute crafting/scrapbooking products, accessories to make your office pop.
I try diligently to avoid the place because even at a dollar, it can add up
quickly, and that's dangerous.
I entered the danger zone this week, though, which is how I
know about craft storage, crafty/scrappy supplies and office accessories...and
how I took a little bit of that One Spot home with me in a shopping bag. Cute. Stuff.
Today, I worked on the Easter Party Kit. I finished the
bunting for the cake plate and cupcake picks for, well...cupcakes. They're both
the Little Eggs design; the first project I created was the Easter Garland,
here.
The cake plate bunting is printed on white card stock and
then cut out. I used double sided tape to attach the bunting to the plate. The
length of the bunting is about 9.7 inches so more than one is required to go
completely around the plate. Cut several lengths of the bunting trim. Attach
two-sided tape to the edge of plate. Attach first length of trim to the tape.
Butt the next length of trim up against the first and attach to plate. Keep
going until plate rim is covered. Trim where ends meet.
More Little Eggs Party Kit goodies in the pipeline! I hope you like what you're seeing. And remember, if you don't want to use the whole kit, you can always pick and choose what elements work for you.
More to come.
