I designed and cut it using my Silhouette Cameo. Of all my crafting hardware, this is the tool I love the best. It's amazing how many things can be produced using this tool and the list is getting longer all of the time: scrapbook elements, vinyl lettering, glass etching, stencils, cards, gifts, and even quilts.
This is not actually a box. It's a box top, before folding, with my kit's paw applied. (She's usually in the studio, 'helping', whenever I'm working), If you look closely in the corner near her paw, you can see perforations where the box is folded.
This little (4" square) gift box is very flexible: it can be a candy box or a gift card box or a lotto ticket box or an engagement ring box. It can be a red box or a white box or a red-and-white box. It's only limited by your imagination, your creativity and, of course, the paper, glitter, rhinestones or other good stuff you might have on hand.
I made this box using white card stock and cut a liner for the top using red card stock. While I was making this one, I also created a few other variations using different card stock and liners for the top - those pictures to come soon. In the meantime, I've attached the .'studio' file for the box top and the file for the bottom, too. For those of you who have Silhouette Cameo machines and want to get started, just download the files, cut them out, fold at the perforations and glue at tabs.
In 5 minutes, you can create a gift box that's as unique and special as its recipient. So get started wrapping all of that Valentine goodness...there are only 11 more days to go!
Three cheers!! Downloadable treats--very nice :) now, how to get the .studio files? The writing is lovely, of course.
